We handle TFNs and other ATO related information in line with the Privacy Act, the ATO’s Tax File Number Rule and other relevant taxation laws.

5. Tax file numbers and ATO compliance
Where we handle tax file numbers and other ATO related information, we will:
- Only collect TFNs where it is necessary for lawful taxation, superannuation or related purposes
- Use TFN information only for authorised purposes
- Store TFN information securely and restrict access to authorised personnel
- Not use TFNs as a general identifier
- Take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify TFN information when it is no longer required and when we are legally permitted to do so
We also comply with ATO record keeping requirements that may require certain information to be retained for a minimum period.
6. Disclosures to third parties
We may disclose your personal information to third parties where reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this policy or where required by law. These third parties can include:
- Your nominated accountant, tax agent or other professional advisors
- The Australian Taxation Office and other government agencies where required or authorised by law
- Accounting and bookkeeping software providers such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks Online and Reckon Online
- Secure cloud storage and IT service providers that host or manage our systems
- Professional advisors such as lawyers, auditors and insurers
- Regulators such as ASIC where our business activities require it
- Any other person where you have expressly authorised us to share information
